Dear Carrolls, O'Carrolls, Related Families to Clan Cian of Eile (Use the Family Name Tab on the Menu for your Family Connection)

Perhaps some are unaware that the Carrolls of Eile (Ely) were the Leading Family of the Race of Cian (Cianachta), or Clan Cian in English, from whom were selected Kings or High Chiefs, now termed Chief of Name or The O'Carroll Chief of Eile O'Carroll.

I feel honored to hold the Current Recognized Courtesy Title and Position, a Lifetime Acknowledgment from the Chief Herald of Ireland. And my son, as Tanist or Successor, is also recognized by the Chief Herald.

We are still in need of having the Carroll/O'Carroll Banner completed for the Museum at Kildare Street, Dublin, Ireland.

I feel there is a need for the entire Families of Carroll/O'Carroll to become involved in this project. I have in the past few years set aside and made available the funds for making and hanging the O'Carroll Banner.

Currently for the year 2000, I should like to see it finally completed. To cover the full cost for Heraldic Court Fees we are in need of about $5000, which would enable us to see this project completed both in the Republic of Ireland and the Lyons Court in Scotland.

For this reason, I am requesting the many Families of Carroll/O'Carroll to contribute to our Family cause. Some have been giving each year since 1982 to bring restoration and recognition to our Family Name in Ireland. I hope you will continue to help until the project is realized.

~Join the many other O'Carroll and Carroll-related Families in making this a Clan Cian-Carroll-Millennium 2000-2001 reality by supporting our Family cause.

From the time this web site was established in 1998 to February 1, 2000, there have been almost 13,000 Internet searcher hits. We are the largest solely Irish Clan participating yearly in activities in the United States, and we are increasing rapidly in membership, known as Clan Cian and Clan Carroll.

As Chief of the Carroll/O'Carroll Name, I invite you to join me in the project by contributing whatever amount you can.

Contributions of $100.00 or more will receive the Litterluna Kings and Chiefs-1205 to 1993-Carroll Commemorative, with Chief of Name Certificate, and King Olioll Olum of Munster-300 A.D. to Chief of Name 1983-2000, both in color ready for framing; the Clan Cian-Carroll Tartan Tie, and the Carroll Crest Pin.

Contributions of $50.00 or more will receive the Carroll Crest Pin with Commemorative.

All contributions for the Heraldic Court Fund are greatly appreciated and will help the entire Carroll Clan Cian promotion nationally and internationally. All Officers, Members of Clan Cian, are grateful of your help. Payment may be made by check payable to Clan Cian Services or by Visa/MasterCard. Please mark your contribution for the Heraldic Court Fund.

Seabhach Abu 2001-2002
From the O'Carroll, Chief of Eile

Dear Clanspeople,

My gratitude to all for your hard work and help in making 2000 Clan Cian a continued success. It is a far cry from the time we started in 1982, first fielding, as did many other Clans, with a chair, tent, some banners and clan information.

I recall a few older members once said to me, "What do we get out of becoming a member?" I said to them, "What you want to get from it. It depends on what you make of it, how you apply yourself, what you give to it, as the Clan is for you. I only guide it."

December (Nollaig 2000) is fast fading, bringing the traditional year to a close. Clan Cian is now entering the Millennial change. Membership has grown, moved into new areas, with changes continuing to take place in 2001. November (Samhain) began the Celtic New Year 2001.

I encourage the Membership to endeavor making 2001 Clan Cian even greater than before. I hope to see you at the Games and Activities. Be sure to visit the Clan Tents at the many Games.

I hope also to serve you at the Waterhound food booth. Gracy and I look forward to seeing you in 2001.
